For the gift of water that nourishes the cedar, the pastures and the city, be blessed!
Come, Holy Spirit, and convert us, that we may help you heal what has been poisoned
by plastics, toxins, oil spills,
and contaminated fishing waters, from which children drink polluted water.
For the gift of water that quenches thirst, cleanses and waters the gardens, be blessed!
Come, Holy Spirit, and convert us,
for we confess that we treat this gift as a commodity
to the detriment of the seas choked with waste,
and the cracked, barren earth that drives into exile
climate refugees with tears of salt…
Melt our hearts of ice and let the tears of repentance flow!
