To pray to you for creation, God our Father, is to ask you for the grace
to care for our relationships – with ourselves, with others, our sisters and brothers,
with all of creation: animals, plants, trees, the entire cosmos.
Above all, to care for our relationship with you, Lord, who gave us life
and who sustains us at every moment, in a breath of freedom
that does not wish to shape the future without us…
Keep us from losing heart in the face of the alarming imbalances in our ecosystem
and inspire us with the actions of those humble hands that set us on a path of hope.
We pray this through Jesus and in the Spirit who makes all things new.
